2. Information We Collect
Account Information
- Email address and password (used to create and secure your account).
Creator Profile Information
- Name, category/niche, location, short bio, availability status.
- Social media profile links you choose to add (Facebook, YouTube, Instagram, TikTok).
- Profile photo, if you choose to upload one.
Brand Profile Information
- Business name, website, industry, company size.
Collaboration & Communication Data
- Details you submit in a collaboration request (contact name, phone, budget, campaign details, messages).
- Messages exchanged between a brand and a creator through our negotiation and messaging tools.
Payment-Related Information
- Since payments are currently coordinated manually, we may collect a payment reference/transaction ID you submit to help our team confirm a payment (e.g., a bKash transaction ID). We do not collect or store full payment card numbers or mobile wallet PINs.
Usage & Technical Data
- Basic technical information such as browser type, needed to operate the site correctly.
- A locally stored theme preference (light/dark mode) saved in your browser.
3. How We Use Your Information
- To create and manage your account and dashboard.
- To connect brands and creators and facilitate collaboration requests, negotiations, and messaging.
- To display your public creator profile to prospective brands (for creator accounts).
- To coordinate and track payments related to collaborations and paid features (Profile Boosting, Get Featured).
- To respond to support requests and communicate important updates about your account.
- To maintain the security and integrity of the platform.
4. Who We Share Information With
We do not sell your personal information. We share information in these limited circumstances:
- Between brands and creators: when you submit or receive a collaboration request, relevant contact and request details are shared with the other party so they can respond.
- Public creator profiles: information you add to your creator profile (name, category, location, bio, social links, photo) is publicly visible on Chukty's Find Creators page and your profile page, and may appear on the homepage if you have an active Featured Placement.
- Service providers: we use trusted third-party services to operate the platform, including Supabase (database, authentication, and file storage), Web3Forms (contact and signup form delivery), and the YouTube Data API (to display public statistics for select verified creators). These providers process data only as needed to provide their service to us.
- Legal requirements: we may disclose information if required by law or to protect the rights, safety, or property of Chukty or others.
5. Cookies & Local Storage
Chukty uses your browser's local storage to remember your light/dark mode preference. This is stored only on your own device and is not sent to our servers. We do not currently use third-party advertising or tracking cookies.
6. Data Security
We use industry-standard practices to protect your data, including encrypted connections (HTTPS), authentication through Supabase, and access-restricted database policies so that users can generally only access data relevant to their own account and role. However, no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
7. Your Rights
You may:
- Access and review the information in your account through your dashboard.
- Request correction of inaccurate information.
- Request deletion of your account and associated personal data, subject to reasonable exceptions (for example, records we are required to keep for financial or legal record-keeping).

We retain your information for as long as your account is active, or as needed to provide the platform's services, resolve disputes, and comply with our legal obligations. If you close your account, we will delete or anonymize personal data that is no longer needed, except where retention is required by law (for example, financial transaction records).

Chukty is not directed at children under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has created an account, please contact us so we can review and, if appropriate, remove it.
10. Third-Party Links
Creator profiles and other pages may link to third-party sites (such as a creator's YouTube or Instagram page). We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those external sites.
11. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by an updated "Last Updated" date on this page.
